Metaphor Magic in Coaching

Metaphormagicbox.JPG

Invite your clients to see a different perspective with the Metaphor Magic Box!

About the Course

Metaphors are a powerful way to work with our coaching and supervision clients. Using metaphors, clients access another part of the brain; this tool encourages them to think in a different way. When using the Metaphor Magic Box in your sessions, your clients will begin to explore their unconscious meaning of the symbols that they choose.

In this virtual workshop, there will be a demonstration using a Metaphor Magic Box, a debrief, and a conversation on how to use the metaphors effectively. You will then have the chance to use your Metaphor Magic Box to explore one of your own topics and to practice coaching someone with their Magic Box.

Next Session: October 29, 2020 11:00am - 1:30pm PST

About the Instructor

Lily Seto, MA, CEC, AoCS, is a Certified and Accredited Executive and Leadership Coach (PCC), as well as a Certified Mentor Coach and holds a Diploma in Coaching Supervision. She uses creative tools that challenge her global clients to think in different ways.

"Lumina Spark" Workshop

Lumina Spark Learning Course

September 29 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

| $550

Register by August 28th and receive 10% off!

Lumina Spark is the next generation of professional development tools supporting individuals, teams and organizations to work more effectively and improve the bottom line. It is unique amongst psychometric tools because it avoids any stereotyping. It provides a highly interactive colourful framework for better self-understanding and helps people identify how to improve their working relationships with others. By applying the Lumina Spark model, learners unlock multiple business benefits. If you are a coach, HR specialist, manager or business owner, this is the course for you!

DISTINCT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LUMINA SPARK AND OTHER PSYCHOMETRICS

Big 5 and ‘Best of Jung’ – The model is based on the latest Big Five research paradigm, and can also be viewed through the popular Jungian lens.

Trait not Type – Lumina doesn’t label people or put them in a box, we call this trait, not type.

Embraces Paradox – Lumina doesn’t force choice of preferences, we call this “embracing paradox”. We independently measure the level to which each individual has opposite, competing and contradictory aspects of their personality e.g. their level of introversion and extraversion.

Measures 3 Personas – We measure three unique yet integrated views of you – the Underlying you, the Everyday you and the Overextended you.

Simplicity and Depth – We use colourful and practical language to create a set of ideas that people remember and can apply for years to come. The model can be used at a big picture 4 colour level, an 8 aspect level or a detailed full 24 quality level – dependent on your application.

EXPERIENCE OF A LUMINA SPARK WORKSHOP

This highly interactive and fun day will provide you with an inspirational experience, using your Lumina Portrait in a workshop format. Through a facilitated coaching approach, you will learn the qualities and aspects that make up you. This will help you generate ideas for how the concepts can be practically applied in your professional capacity.

We will provide more detail on the background of the model, to enable you to have complete confidence, while learning about your personal preferences, integrated views, strengths and areas for development. During the day you will have the chance to practise your own Lumina Portrait feedback skills. This course is seven credits for ICF CCEUs.
